On that morning of January 15, you came into this world and sweetened up my life.

I can’t thank God enough for the treasure He bestowed upon me. Every dad has that one wish and that’s to have a boy, and man did I get one special little boy, with a smile and laugh that still to today sits within my mind. You have grown up to be a fine little man, a clever one too and I can’t be more proud. With your witty attitude and sense of humour, you brighten up my day.

Although our Journey was and is a bit rough, and yes it will carry on being tough. But know that I am here for you and with you every step of the way. I will carry you, and lift you and pick you up where you feel you can’t. I will stand with you and be the strength you need each and every day.

It never mattered to me if you could play sports or run a marathon, what I did know is that you are going to be a force to be reckoned with.
All I ever wanted for you is to be uniquely you, and how so much so, now more than ever that Duchene has entered your life.
I will always be proud of you my boy, you have showed me what the real meaning of strength is, no matter what is going on, you can smile, laugh and be happy while still fighting the biggest battle of all.

You are my HERO, we will fight together and show Duchene who is boss.
